Who We Are

The Public Good Projects (PGP) is a nonprofit organization that directs the power of mass media to solutions for our nation’s most pressing health problems.  PGP believes health encompasses socioeconomic status, education, the physical environment, employment, and social support networks, as well as access to health care. Founded by Emmy-award winning documentary producer John Hoffman, PGP is led by experts in health, media, and marketing. Each of PGP's programs is in fulfillment of our bold mission A Healthy America.

A Healthy America

A Healthy America is a movement that markets health to all Americans, reaching into every home, workplace, school, and community.  It delivers messages that surprise, provoke, inspire and motivate people. The campaign includes the full range of media forms, from documentaries to tweets, from 30-second ads to viral videos. Working in coordination with community-led efforts to promote health and prevent disease, these messages make impact at the local, regional, and national levels and prompt change by individuals, organizations, and government. Through pervasive and sustained delivery, A Healthy America has become a trusted thread in the fabric of American culture and our hope is that it ultimately bends the curve on chronic disease in this country.
